I know the book is literally called the Hunter Games but I love how much food is used to display the disparity between the districts and the capitol. Almost every other page they’re talking about how people in the capitol have food everywhere. In the private training session, tables lined with it at every turn. Just something I noticed.

The book is actually so good and I love how much more immersive it is than the movies. I still adore the movies but I'm loving the backstories and world building so far.

Annabeth’s humor in this is actually unmatched lol. My first ever fictional crush for a reason.

Even if this book is meant for a younger age group, it still stands as one of my favorite series ever. I love Rick’s works and seeing new Percy Jackson content just makes my inner child so happy.
