So nothings really happening in this book but I don’t mind it. It’s all fantastic character building. The best part is it’s believable. I love the writing style. It’s a pleasant read that’s pumping me up for the next one.

Good so far. Idk if it’s because I read other books in between this and quicksilver but it was a little hard to jump back in. The dynamic is different. Some of the plot isn’t quite making sense, but obviously there’s time for it to all come together. I wish I was able to read them back to back for the first time.

This one feels different for some reason. Not in a bad way. Just not at all sure where this is going which makes it hard to put down. Already about halfway through.

Really curious what the twists will be in this. The flow and pacing of this read is really good.

Ok I also need to talk about how gross some of this is. They REALLY get stuck on the whole virginity trope. Enough to where wWe get a cherry popping scene. Plus words like ‘lapping’ ‘lapped at my….’ Double EW. Is that relevant to the time period this all takes place in and how women were treated? Yes. It still gives me the ICK. Am I still reading this because I need to know what happens? Also yes.

Y’all this book is exhausting. It got real good then dove into another setting for a third timeline. Like fucking hell. Now the mains seem to like these otherworldly unexplained creatures. I’m at like 3.5 stars now because things are more believable now that it’s all coming together.

Nope. They lost me. This is officially just not believable. You have to be into the romantic relationship to enjoy this book and it’s wayyyy too far fetched making the FMC be this codependent damsel. Ugh. I know it’s fitting for the time period but this is ain’t it for me. The twist was easily guessed. The spooky vibes are good. The whip lash of is he good or bad, does he love her or not….. I’m tired.

This book…… it’s so close to being really good. The flow is too much. There’s 3 story lines that you get pieces of and eventually build to make sense. The FMC just kind of rolls with the chaos which is just too unrealistic not to mention being in love with people (yes more than one) she knows nothing about? Idk y’all. We still have a lot left so maybe it’ll all come together. 3 stars right now.

I thought maybe I had it figured out for a second but yeah I def don’t. How am I only 30% through this? So much is happening with no explanation. Very interested in seeing where this goes. Is she just insane? Are they vampires? Is the town cursed? Is she a witch? Is she immortal somehow? ????????
