Gory. Gross. Fun to read but sometimes difficult to understand/track. Getting used to the writing style.

I think I’ll finish this today and tomorrow. A fun read I just got a little distracted in my reading of it.

This book is so boring.

Im actually reading the pevear volokhonsky translation. Its pretty fun all around!

I was slow to pick up this book, because the beginning is so dang confusing. But once this story gets going it’s been hard to put down.

Good stuff. Quite interesting short stories. Definitely leaving me with a lot of questions

What a touching first story. I’ve been putting off reading it because I had other things to do and thought it seemed boring but it was quite a sweet story.

Very good. Very moving. Sweet. Lighter than most of the books I’ve been reading but still very powerful.

So good. This is one of my favorite books. I’ve ever read.

Wow I absolutely love this book. I find so much solace in the strong sense of … childhood that the narrator has as well as the strong sense of adulthood that fills in the gaps that a kid (Leo is 12 during the time of this book) is unable to read. Half nostalgia half giddy reading this.

Great writing. Not a whole lot of Amsterdam though. Hahaha. Thought this book was about Amsterdam why did I buy it

Good. Reads way slower than I anticipated though.

Brilliant. Concise. Beautiful. Quiet. Lonely. Really have enjoyed this read. It reads quickly but it’s filled with meaning, and a certain sense of solace the main character has that resonates with me.
