Ein bisschen…sehr esoterisch.

Why is the author so obsessed with cigarettes and death from smoking? It’s not like you are likely to die in a short amount of time from smoking. Death is not something most smokers think about. Has their mom found their cigarettes in their room or what is going on? Has a teenager written this?

How are there already so many swear words??

My first thought was “Is this from wattpad?”

Wenn ich nun darüber nachdenke, dass dieses Buch für amerikanische Kinder/Jugendliche vor 30 Jahren geschrieben wurde, dann ist es ganz in Ordnung!

Gefällt mir nicht so gut. Ich war oft von der Wortwahl (und den damit einhergehenden Implikationen) irritiert/überrascht, bis mir das kleine „12+“ auf dem Einband auffiel - dort würde ich das Buch altertechnisch auch verorten.
