Without having finished it, this is my favorite fictional work from C.S. Lewis I have read so far. Currently partway through Perelandra. Was stunned when one of the villains experiences demonic possession in the middle of a monologue; never before has a book caused me to feel such a mixture of revulsion and pity at the same time.
