I've been waiting to read this since I was 10, this is one of those childhood books that stuck with you since forever and never let you go.

Truby makes some big statments in the first pages.

Being an Aristotle fan myself, saying that he's teachings in stories and poetics are "extremely theoretical and difficult to put in practice" got me frowing a little bit.

But if the manages to deliver 1/3 of what he promisses this will be a incredible achievment.

I'm curious, let's see..

This reminds me a lot o Saint Tomas Aquinas about the importance of the small pleasures in life "a hot bath, a glass of wine, chocolat".

"oh Lord, wake us with joy and give us knowledge", what a great and simple, but profunda prayer!

I honestly don't understand ms. Alfieri "love" for Mainvile. The guy is a self centered and egotistic manchild. Maybe that's why. Some psychologist must be able explain that..

Finally some unexpected reward for our heroes! But the feeling I got is that the gold won't last long 😅

Sancho's loosing his donkey, crying for the loss of his one thing that gave him a way to sustain him and his family was tragic and beautiful at the same time, poor guy.

Oh, ok, now Sancho got me laughing out loud, he managed to take a dump right beside Dom Quixote. I can't believe I've just read this! 😂

Cervantes didn't have any pitty on Dom Quixote and Sancho, MAN! How much of a beat down one can get!

It hurts to see Sancho being smash by some Galicians, but Dom Quixote's honour never ceases to amaze me, although it doesn't cheer much Sancho's spirit

I'm already in love with this book. I'm still on page 100 but it saddens me to know that eventually it's going to end.
