Why does it have only a 3.5 rating? This book is darn engaging

Oh my my! My heart rate is through the roof!

Dammmmmnnnn what am I reading. Pulse racing, anxiety over the roof, sweaty hands. This is some page turner so far.

An idiot with a blind fold can see the red flags from page 10, Cathy! You stupid, dumb woman! How are you even running a million dollar business!

Book 4 really threw me. One moment I’m bracing for war with the Queen, next I’m stuck in endless training scenes with Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie. Then it’s back-to-back spice with Cassian. Rhys is barely present aside from brooding over Feyre’s pregnancy, and she drifts in and out. Mor’s MIA, Amren’s just hanging with Varian. Honestly, too many things happening but nothing happening. This feels so scattered.

Nesta is hateful and complicated—deeply grey, often leaning dark. She’s angry, bitter, and lashes out not because she’s strong, but because she hates herself. There’s cowardice in the way she hurts others before they can hurt her. In a lot of ways, she reflects the parts of us we don’t like to admit: the anger, the self-loathing, the fear disguised as cruelty.

Hmmm.....I am actually starting to like this one... reading it as if it is a standalone story of Cassian & Nesta.

Don’t hate me, but who else felt like Iron Flame was spinning its wheels at the start? Or is it just me?

Between Xaden popping in and out, Violet constantly guilt-tripping over lying to Rhi, and weekends spent flying just to meet him… it felt like a lot of buildup with little payoff. Like, the interrogation scene was hyped, but then they just… escaped? So much fizz, but where’s the bang?
