Stepped out of the Zodiac books for a bit to read this. I loveeeeee this book, Elise is so fierce and funny. I like the murder mystery aspect of it and also to see her and Gabe!!

Okay I like the book so far, but it feels like Meryn should be more strategic about her decisions as a freaking strategos. She would have fitted daemos so much better, her character traits would have been a better match. And the rude things she will do or say will make more sense, but now you will expect one and she does the other over and over again

Not a fan of the helpless girl FMC. And of course there is a dark most dangerous men she is going to fall for. A bit unoriginal until this point. Not much world building and I also am still hung up with the last book I read (reverse😍)
