Not a fan of the helpless girl FMC. And of course there is a dark most dangerous men she is going to fall for. A bit unoriginal until this point. Not much world building and I also am still hung up with the last book I read (reverse😍)

I don't know why I thought this was not it, but it's really good until this point. I love the murder mystery vibe and the fact they are in the modern world. You need to remember A LOT of names and characters, but for now I can keep up

Caleb offering himself to Tory is my favorite moment in the series so far. They were rivals from the start, but they have always chosen their own faith. Their bond growing from lovers, to friends, to allies even when everyone else is fighting each other. They were never meant to be together, but always meant to be true friends who rule together🫶
