Very informative and eye opening on the history of plant and animal life on earth

I don’t think I fully grasp everything yet, but I’m really enjoying this book. It gives a thematic approach to the buddhas teachings, focusing on the elimination of suffering and the achievement of Nibbana. I’m on chapter 4 and it has already helped me expand my mind towards a positive nature and continue my delve into Buddhism and Buddhist philosophy

The Tao Te Ching is a mystical, ancient text that has some deep truths hidden within it. I love the emphasis on Wu-Wei or non-action. One of my favorite quotes so far comes from chapter 11, “Therefore: what exists thus makes a thing profitable; emptiness thus makes it useful” By placing emphasis on emptiness of the mind one is able to make their mind useful.

Good so far. Very critical of Christianity and the philosophy and life choices that it promotes. Not inherently hard to understand but definitely confusing and wordy. I’m currently listening as an audiobook and it helps with the wordiness.
