Engaging use of the format and a fascinating glimpse into a piece of Dano’s mental process for inhabiting the character.

In reality it’s a biography of the band mostly. But it’s engrossing for a fan of the band and Eddie’s genius.

Loving the book. Amazed at it in a lot of ways.

Coppola’s screen version is INCREDIBLY faithful to the book so far.

I’m a fan of Coppola’s extended cut of the film, and so I’m reading the source material (finally).

I think I finally found McIntyre’s wheelhouse for franchise fiction. It’s paced and written like a TOS episode. So of course I’m enjoying it.

Some facts are misstated or wrong - quibbling things but still wrong - and a later chapter really should have been the first, to explain how and why he had such a front row seat to some things.

It’s deeply inside baseball and, tinged by the bitterness of a fan who wanted better for a property he loves, intriguing despite some maddening typos and proofing errors that are driving me nuts.

It’s an easy and interesting read so far but really could use another editorial pass. Some typos and grammar issues that irk.
