I feel like I’m cheating by reading two books at once! But I’m trying to read more non-fiction for work purposes … and this feels like a must read for my work. It also feels like cheating bc it’s quite a short book but you know what sue me, I’m doing anything I can to reach my reading goal.

Not her dedicating this why-choose smut to her grandparents!!! who I gather were monogamous till their deaths (rip)

I’ve been kinda procrastinating I’m not ready for it to be over

Do not do what you cannot undo until you’ve considered well what you can’t do once you’ve done it! Robin!!!! How did you do that. Mind blown.

Ummm I will never forgive you Robin Hobb for breaking my heart

omf all the references to Bingtown and details from Liveship are killing meeee the rooster crown!!! What does it meaaaaannnn

I don’t think I’ve ever done a progress update but HOLY SHIT I have made it to the first spicy scene and I can hardly breathe. I am so glad I waited to read until Brimstone came out

Beginning Book 50/50 of my reading challenge! I am so glad I finished off my challenge with this series and while I’m dying to know how the story ends …. I’m not ready for it to end!

OMG I was so confused why so much time was being given to what I thought was a completely random plot point only to discover THE PLOT TWIST that was AHHHHHHHHHH

I normally don’t do progress notes but, guh I’m loving this so much. The stakes are getting higher, new character POVs, a second romance plot line. Very 3D characters. Glimpses into Slade’s past that are written with so much innocence I want to cry. Auren is in her broken down and rebuilding and training stage. LOVE & TEARS

Due to poor planning my TBR is all out of order and I’ve read two Book 1s of series I didn’t have the rest of the books of. And I am militantly going after my goal this year so here we are! I have been waiting to sink my teeth into this one!

Why do all his books make me cry so hard at the endddddd.

“There, in the centre of the grass, was a field of … somethings.” “They were holding hands as they lay amid the flowers.” 😭

Two down, three to go of the series. I could hardly put it down and got withdrawals when I had to! Da plot twist at the very last chapter was everything I hoped!!!
