What started as a spicy romance suddenly turned deeply suspicious. Nothing feels safe anymore, and I’m hooked…

I don’t like the writing style. Short, simple sentences…
Anyway, I’m intrigued by the mystery with the letters.

Her eyes narrow.

I just kind of love this book. Not sure how to explain it. It is so… normal, maybe? So ordinary, yet so real, written with such lightness, yet carrying a depth that truly stays with you.

“As far as I'm concerned, there's not another woman on the planet. I' m into you. I' m only into you.”

My first Taylor Jenkins Reid book. So far, I really like the way she tells a story.

“We look at each other, neither one of us breaking the gaze. His eyes are on me, focused on my eyes, as if I am the only other person in the world. And I wonder if he looks at every woman that way.”

It feels like it’s taking me forever to get through this book.
The MMC is more annoying than charming, the type of man I wouldn’t even pay attention to in real life. And the romance itself just doesn’t sit right with me—their connection feels flat, and both characters fail to hold my interest…

Honestly, it’s going slowly for me… nothing much really happens, and Joah’s dialect kind of annoys me. Maybe I had higher expectations, but so far I’m not that impressed.
