This plot is so so good, I’m not even bothered that they’ve only kissed once. And that says A LOT coming from me 😂 because I’m not a slow burn girlie by ANY means.

1.5x speed feels like 1x speed with these narrators.
AND LEMME VENT: I picked this book because the voice actor also did Kingfisher in Quicksilver. But 95% of the chapters are from the girl’s POV! WTH! I don’t wanna hear the girl trying to do a manly voice. I want Shadow Daddy that introduces me to all 7 gods!!!

Just finished Quicksilver (2nd time). I can’t claim my Goodreads reward again for the book, but I can post a status update and announce that I’m giving myself the imaginary award of marking it finished in my head 😂

The best thing about Friday nights is I can stay up til *checks time* 3:37am to finish my book 😁

The book series stomped on my heart.
Then I decided to get hurt again and read the prequel (this book).
As many tears as I shed over this story, I love it. I love reading about this world, and I’m never regretting picking these books up.

I don’t know what to do with my life…
Because that book series was my life.
And this is a safe space to admit that.

Looking at the title - this book series owes me emotional restitution for the sheer volume of heartbreak it unleashed on my soul.

Saying this book is heavy is an understatement.
It’s so incredibly heartbreaking that I can’t, in good conscience, recommend this book to others.
Although my heart feels numb from all the pain it’s endured, I don’t regret reading it.
