Okay that whole train scene was silly. It just felt like there were too many characters and the whole scene was to get rid of them. Coulten and Brint shouldn’t have been added if you were just gonna kill them off like that.

What’s with the weird torture room in Margaret’s house? Also, she seems needlessly cruel, don’t like how her character is written. Don’t like how passive characters are to adults being weird to children.

I love all the women characters in this book. They all are fighters, filled with vengeance and refuse to let injustice stand. I love Alice, I love Brent. I love Eliza.

It’s has a really great start, really intrigued by the random magical children hiding out in the 1850s.
But it’s got this gritty dark realism thing going on. Was not prepared for the literal child torture and racism. the questions of can children just be born wrong? Can children be born with the devil in them?

Am intrigued but am having a hard time reading because of the themes of suicide.
The characters seem pretty basic and I’m not really seeing the reason they’re into each other. MC’s thoughts and motives are kinda all over the place, but I like the pov of the spider.

Started strong but is dropping off. Don’t like the whole interaction with Abigail. Nate’s thoughts about the whole situation are contradictory and don’t make sense. Abigale’s motivations don’t make sense. I really like Reed and his band, don’t care about Nate at all and Pixel feels like plot fodder.

Adam and his self destructive spiral is so tragic to read

The book is really good. I love how every single characters voice is so strong. Also, everybody needs therapy. Except blue, she can do no wrong and I love her for it.
