Surpring that this is written by a woman - it reads like a sophomoric horny frat boy fantasy.
Seriously considering DNFing, not just because of that but because the characters are mostly awful and I don't care what happens to them.

I always get tense when a cat is mentioned within the first few pages of a book like this 😧

So apparently those who commit unspeakable acts should be coddled and petted and told "uwu, it's not your fault, it's the environment, it's the orders you were given, you were just trying to fit in/were frustrated/whatever."
