Henri literally just said “Once your eyes are open to all the terrible things descended do, it can be overwhelming. It gets hard to focus on anything else except stopping them.” Then she talks about how he has turned into a whole different person, he has hardened. I get that there are things that need to be changed but to purposefully hurt children for the ““ greater good I don’t know about that.

FMC is consciously being ignorant. She is so reactive based on some facts while ignoring huge red flags or signs that should at least make her want to investigate further. She is actively ignoring her gut telling her something is wrong and yet she doubles down on doing stupid moves.

Sometimes someone is talking and it doesn’t explicitly say “said this person” or “this person says”. There is always so many people around that it gets confusing sometimes who is actually saying what

I feel like every sentence is a riddle that I’m not smart enough to figure out

I’m struggling. I find Rin to be somewhat insufferable. She wants to advance her place in life by going to the best school, but then argues or fakes confidence when someone is trying to explain something out of her scope of knowledge. Actually I feel like most of these characters are like this.
