Honestly, I did finish, easy five stars, (expect nothing less from T. Kingfisher) but the Kindle version finally activated on Libby so sorry to the ten people waiting behind me but I will be immediately re-reading.

Started Chapter 1 and promptly had to hunt down a recap of Silvercloak because I remember absolutely nothing

I read the recap for Shield of Sparrows and had to double check that I had actually finished the book because I recognized maybe only 5% of the words. Can't wait to see how this goes!

Woke up at 4am after my brain apparently did some deep processing and had an epiphany as to what was going on, can't wait to find out if my night brain was correct

So, I read The Curse that Binds before the rest of this series, and told myself I'd read the core books to make a fully informed judgement after a random stranger on the Internet acted like I was the antichrist for reading the prequel first. So far, the modern day/urban fantasy setting is ... better ... but these basic magic rhymes are NOT it.
