3rd attempt to read this book. Decided to look up spoilers and unhauling .

Quite possibly the best character introduction in a middle grade book 😂

“ I have always considered myself an unflappable woman, calm, and cool in a crisis, but all this is growing to be too much.” girl, no you’re not. Not a single thing you’ve done in this book has shown that you’re common and cool in a crisis 😂

100 pages left and starting to feel like there will be no ending, just the promise of an ending, and that will be annoying if that’s the case.

For once I can’t tell where this book is going and I’m enjoying that.

Totally random but while reading the dialogue about power and exchanges with the gods, it reminds of Boethius talking to Lady Philosophy about fortune.

“But to be frank i’ve never met a man good at judging what’s attractive in a beard.” 😂

I can already tell I’m going to take this one slow so that I can stay in the world a little longer!
