I don’t know what it is about this book, but it has really made me paused and reevaluate things. Tomorrow isn’t promised and the book doesn’t really dwell on that. I didn’t know what to expect when I picked up the book about cannibalism, but it wasn’t a love story. yeah this book has really put a lot of things to perspective about my story and the love of I have for the people around me.

So far, I’m really enjoying the book. Something about the way Sarah describes the world feels very familiar. The setting reminds me of Westros in Game of Thrones, with its wall separating the mystic from the mundane human realm. I’m excited to explore the world beyond the walls in upcoming chapters.
