It's enjoyable and I'm determined to finish it. Because it's a bit heavy on the detailing it's not a leisurely read, but I'm invested enough to want to know what happens so I'm still going

Listening to the audiobook. Really enjoying it so far. The first chapter was a great way to draw me in. The building of the character 'The Woman' is very good, I'm already invoked with feelings of disbelief and disgust for her, great imagery.

I really enjoy the descriptive imagery due to the setting in the Scottish Highlands, but I'm struggling to get momentum with it as there's too much focus on the whisky distilling process which isn't super relevant to what the synopsis suggests. I'm hoping it picks up soon
