A good continuation of Marrow Thieves. The basic premise of both books (that the only race that still has the ability to reach REM sleep / to dream) is a little far fetched and takes a certain suspension of disbelief. But if you could do that, and liked Marrow Thieves, then I think you will like this equally well.

K. I'm starting to find this book frustrating. I get wanting to create some mystery around a narrator and can appreciate an author who keeps their cards close to their chests, but it's starting to feel ridiculous.

Several different people over the years have told me to read Louise Penny. I finally picked up the first one and read the first third or so yesterday. I'm liking it.

I'm learning a lot about how slime molds find food, tardigrades endure, bats hibernate and trees recycle their chlorophyll.
