Looked up a summary. This book does not need to exist but for maybe two details in the final chapters.

This book isn't any better after leaving it aside for months. Debating reading a summary to get to the better part of the series, but that feels like cheating.

Breakfast at Tiffany's - 5/5, book better than the movie

Really liking this so far ngl, moreso than I thought I would. Quite atmospheric, real suspense and horror that's not just a gorefest or needlessly gross.

These little stories are so easy to read and quite charming! I must say I am hooked!

Wolfram's little insights into his love life (usually about how he has no hoes), as well as his brief aside about how broke he is, are my favorite parts of this story. They add a real human element to the narration that I enjoy.

Grandmother gave me this book years ago when I graduated high school. I figured it was time I finally read it.

Sir Gareth is a great story with everything you could want from a medieval romance.

Tristram takes too long, but the Lancelot and Elaine arc is really good. Sir Dinadan is an enjoyable character as well, would have liked some more content from him.

The Quest for the Sangreal is, of course, wonderful. Malory's version makes me want to read the Vulgate cycle version more.

The tale of Lancelot takes it for granted that the affair between him and Guinevere has already begun. Seems to me like there is a tension within Lancelot over his knightly virtues and the repeated accusations of an affair. Hopefully it all gets sorted out with Arthur in the end for the best!

Emperor Arthur of Rome is a fun side quest with broad sweeping implications. Would be a shame if this doesn't matter at all for the rest of the book.

Tale of King Arthur establishes a number of the important knights and the dream-logic with which these stories operate. It is funny how immediately the knights mess up something in their quests: Gawain beads a woman; Pellinore lets his own daughter die, and the Lance of Longinius is used to kill people. So far so good in the Kingdom of Britain.

The Diver and Babette's Feast were both great little stories; I'm liking Blixen so far

Holy fucking shit it's taken me a month to get this far. This is the worst book in the series yet, fighting for my life to keep going
