For some reason it felt tough reading these first three chapters not sure if it was due to lack of energy or the words were actually hard. Felt similar to the first time I read Dune first book. Had to reread a lot of sections and track back. Hoping it’s not like this for rest of the book. In terms of the content it’s interesting enough so far.

The premise and mystery has been laid out and I am beyond hooked. Can’t wait to find out what the ending is.

Much different to the movie. The pacing is quite good and easy to follow. Keen to see how this one ends.

The most depressing start to a book ever. Literally started tearing up from page one. Had to put it down after first chapter as I was holding back tears on the train

Did not know where this book was heading but now it’s actually ramping up. I enjoyed it up until this point although it may seem mundane to some, the way Klara observes the world and human interactions around her is fascinating.

Finally got a meeting between Leto and Siona.
I really like Duncan so far.
Leto is interesting but unlikeable, perfect character development.

Seeing a lot more social commentary than previous books. I’m quite enjoying the dialogue between characters which I didn’t think I would. Favourite so far is Duncan as he doesn’t blindly follow Leto and questions everything.

Ngl I hate what Leto has become but 3.5k years of living would do that to you. Not sure how I feel about Siona so far but could be promising. If Leto remains alive for the next 3 books I will not be happy

Quite enjoying the pace so far and the parallel stories unfolding. Jessica and Leto interaction was peak

Tensions are rising and more storyline and characters are being introduced. Keen to see how this goes
