The title made me think this was going to be about the hunt for mythical sea creatures, but it's not, it's just about surfing. There are absolutely no giant sea creatures in this book so far. If you're in to surfing, you'll probably like this book. But it's not what I signed up for.

I'm absolutely loving this book so far. The story about wainscotting might be the best short story I've ever read. Ellis makes me want to bury myself in a dirt pile of shame, because I have never written anything remotely approaching its genius. The first story was boring. Don't let that fool you. It gets better. I hope there are more great stories in here, though I doubt she can top the wainscotting one.
