I’m really loving this so far. The more I enjoy it, the more grateful I am that I made it a “Not right now” instead of a hard “DNF”. Chapter 50 has been my favorite, and this is the second time a first installment in a series has had me crying in a “first” read. It’s really hard for me to do lol so it’s a good thing. Can’t wait to keep reading!

I’m remembering why I was enjoying it before, I’m glad I took a break and waited to read it at another time.

I’m obsessed with Kingfisher omg. Also I don’t think an MMC, or even a fantasy book in general, has cracked me up this much since I read Throne of Glass and/ or A Court of Mist and Fury. The dynamic between Fisher and Saeris reminds of an early Rowan and Aelin and I love it so so much. I can’t wait to finish this book!

Fun plot! Can wait so see how it progresses.
