Not a lot of Medusa so far...

I'm struggling with this one. Not because of the story, but the writing. I've caught several errors (including missing punctuation!), rooms that people are standing in and then a sentence later enter (somehow they left and had to reenter without us knowing?!), and so much alliteration.
It shocks me out of the story.

I'm struggling with this book. So glad this isn't the first Sanderson book I read. I might not have come back for more.

Why am I still here? This has to be the last book of the series I read...

I don't know why this was promoted as a feminist book based in a female-driven world. Def not seeing that at this point...

Garber certainly likes the phrase "the scent of..." Followed by something that doesn't actually have a scent 😂

I love this book and I will always love this book.

What the heck am I even reading? This girl, whose sole purpose used to be to learn to read, just said she'd give up learning to read to get married.

I know it's still early in this hulking book, but I am not a fan so far. Especially of how the author has described/portrayed people of color. Literally two people of color so far in the book (a book where part was set in THE SOUTH), and both have been brutally hurt.
