OH MY FUCKING GOD ENOUGH WITH THE “this is a thing but we call it [quirky nickname that is probably a niche literature reference]” WE GET IT HOLY SHIT WHATS THE POINT

feels like it’s trying too hard to be witty and satirical. I am constantly reminded of how im supposedly reading a satire/“weird girl” book. idk how much more I can take of sentences loaded with confusing, unnecessary, and overly sarcastic metaphors and similes. it’s such a mouthful but in the form of words on paper

so this book is pretty good but its just so goddamn edgy that its hard to stand anymore. my main thing is the detail. I love detail. But this book is actually heinous with the sheer AMOUNT of it. every single page, every single paragraph, every single sentence to the point it borders on straight up pretentious and unnecessary purple prose. and it is extremely edgy. everything is sexualized. it’s EVERY PAGE
