I started out not really liking the book. It is very slow in the beginning. I am so glad I stuck it out. The book shows that not everyone who survives moves on quickly, but some struggle tremendously and have to have coping mechanisms in place. The mechanisms may not always be healthy. I ended up crying at the end of the book. The twist and turns and her plan and its follow through are an emotional ride.

I am a southern woman. This book was wonderful! So many things that were touched on remind me of the things I was raised being told about. Add in the demon and it’s even better. It very much gave me Desperate Housewives meets Buffy vibes.

This book was adorable! Caz is sarcastic and witty. Honestly, he was my favorite! The book was safe enough that I can let my 10 year old read it. There are kisses exchanged in the pages but no more.
