The 1st 1/2 of this book honestly was a big ? to me. I was trying to figure out how this work had won such prestigious awards, as it was fairly slow. The plot thickens in pt 2. More of the story makes more sense. I finally understood why the two FMCs have their proclivities, and why there is such tension. By the end of the book my mind had changed considerably. This is worth the read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
