I was iffy about Angela.. but now I do not like her. She is a pest. She is nosy, she does not care for others, and she acts as if her judgement trumps all. First character I have been annoyed with. I didn't know how to feel about Nasuada at first.. but now that we are getting to know her more I think I have faith in her. I do still have room for doubt on her but so far.. so far so good.

I love the book so far. I feel like I'm getting to know Eragon so much more than when I watched the movie as a kid. It's insane how much detail the movie really left out.

This book is unlike anything I’ve read. Just when I keep thinking I know what is going to happen next something else happens. The book has beaten my predictions so far

I’m annoyed w Callie. From the moment Callie found out about the vow, Magnar TOLD her thetr would be things she would need to get used to not having or freedom she wouldn’t have. She said she didn’t want it, so he never mentioned it again. In her state of distress and grief she took the vow WHILE magnar begged her to stop - and now she blames him for the consequences. She’s playing victim to her own choices.

I’m sooo conflicted. Erik is your typical asshole to the world but behind closed doors has good intentions and has deep emotions - but also fuck him. But also… people make mistakes and can learn from them… lol

I'm not even finished and i'm itching for the 3rd book to come out :(

Okay. I AM SO SLOW. I read Ascended before I read Riftbound.. and I am JUST NOW realizing who Aether is. WOWWW LMAO.

Don't judge me for how slow i've been reading lol. I'm not hooked, I was just getting comfortable with Ma, Osta, Rayne and all her other new friends. I hate DNFing but I need some excitement soon

I was not hooked until maybe Chapter 7 or 8. But now i'm loving so far lol

I can already tell there is going to be a second book to this, and of course I read it so early now I will have to wait until the second book comes out.

So far I like the book. The world building is intriguing.. HOWEVER the whole process of the proving and the choosing was very... anticlimactic. By the time I got to the choosing I was like "thats it?". I expected a bit more as far as a wow moment.

So bittersweet to be almost done with the series again :( I want to keep reading into Harry Potter and it never end. There were not nearly enough books.

This book is getting GOOD, i'm not quite taking the time to put the pieces together to try to solve the mystery.. I'm wanting to experience it fully as I read it. but wow this is a wonderful mystery so far..
I half expected a Freida McFadden type vibe but I feel like this is a lot juicier and more complicated. 10/10 so far

As much as I have been LOVING this book it has taken me awhile to get through it due to a vacation and some other life events. I feel like I lost my mojo for a bit

I'm in a reading slump. Nothing is CALLING TO ME. I need a plot that will send me into a catatonic spiral.

I like the book so far. It fills me with anxiety reading about the dramatics of inner family workings! I'm not sure if the kindle version of this book has a lot of typos but I've found way too many. Also.. the structures of a lot of the sentences is weird. I'm not sure how to explain it.. they are almost nonsensical.

Soooo.. King of Chaos MAY very well be one of my favorite MMCs. Hes still wicked of course, but hes sassy and feisty, guarded, but obviously still cares so deeply for Callie.

okay this whole " my siren " thing is kinda corny. "Pre-coffee, my hold on my siren is not so great." like what?? I don't like the idea that Callie is a siren, yet "her siren" is written as if shes just an alternate ego. Its silly

I very much like this book so far, but I do think it is a little weird that Callie is so young when she and the Bargainer get close.. i mean 16 compared to however old he is? Idk I don't love that

This book has me in its clutches. The chapters are quite small due to the plot following 5 different people, although just makes me need to read faster so I can know what happens next. John Mars is good at ending the chapter right when shit gets spicy lol

This story follows the lives of 5 individuals. Yes FIVE. Its a little difficult in the beginning keeping track of elements of each characters lives.. but we'll roll with it and see!

I don’t think there is a book 3 out yet? I’m assuming one will be coming. But I’m already upset. Not even finished and upset for when it will be over 😭

Wait.. the living cannot touch death, cannot touch wraiths. Asar nearly passed out from touching Mische.. so why could they touch Luce? hmmm

very excited that Vincent is reintroduced back into the story! I'm hoping that a lot of questions Oraya had from book 1 and 2 are answered in this. Vincent actually grew on me the more I got to know him. I hope Mische finds the redemption she so fiercly believes she does not deserve <3

the tone of this book is very different than the previous 2.. a lot of themes around regret, guilt, shame. Mische is such a good person. This book reminded me that the people who help the most, who seem the happiest, who smile the most are usually the one that are hurting just as much.. Love your friends and make sure they always know <3
