Wow I really love a lot of the concepts in this book from the start. The providence cards are really really cool and I wanna learn the abilities they all have. The nightmare is giving me the vibe of a nice helpful Nosferatu.

Curious how the king’s nephew was able to describe the nightmare in Elspeth, maybe he’s infected too?

This book is better the first, excited to see how it plays out. The stuff Grimsen built or can make is super cool.

The stakes in the book are steadily increasing and it’s fun to see Jude navigate the political world of Elfhame. As the clock winds down on her deal I’m interested to see how it plays out. Also Cardan is growing on me, he’s not all that bad.
