Still enjoying, looking forward to the next.

Another good read. There’s a bit toward the end that gets a little technical and I started getting a little bored. But I like the characters and it was great overall

Reread, 4.5 probably! Definitely way better than the first. Forgot how much happens across it. The last bit especially. Just a little slow at some points in the first half.

This was a reread. It’s definitely different going into it knowing some things. Sometimes felt a little too Beauty & the Beast but knowing the rest of the series is more unique helps with that. It is good but compared to TOG or Crescent City, it’s kind of lacking.

Maybe more a 4.5 but a 4 seemed too low. Really enjoyed this! It feels a little simpler than some— but I think it’s YA fiction rather than adult so that makes sense. But it’s such a unique retelling of Beauty & the Beast. I was worried it’d be too similar but it’s not and I love it. Can’t wait to read the next one!!

Love reading these and remembering little details that weren’t in the movies. So good.
