Maya is a brave girl😂 I wish I had her resilience and confidence in going for what she wants haha.

But at the same time, with the facade of idgaf this man puts up and the number of explicit no’s, I’m walking on the fence about how I feel about their dynamics. The “desperate young girl” look is not wat Maya deserves.

That being said tho, it’s been mostly good, Ali you’ve def got a fan in me

3/5 (for now). I surprisingly love the action! Here’s my issues with the romance:
1) Is it just me or are the characters kind of immature? I can’t stop imagining them as teenagers which makes it weird
2) I like Kai and Pae, but I need MORE. More yearning, more teasing, more lack of restraint…
3) I really like Kitt and how he’s being used upsets me. Give him a fighting chance! (A little TVD trope would kill!)

I’m upset that no one got me hooked on this genre earlier!

I’m not going to lie, the first few pages were difficult because I had to train my brain to imagine the setting and plot a lot more than I’m used to😅 But I am absolutely pleased with this storyline and plot

It is so strange to read a book set at my school. Like I read to escape this place haha but nnoooo, you’re out here talking about the Coupa and Yaga and I’m reading THIS as I walk past athlete dining 🙈. Also… the main character is a student athlete who is doing German and has a German roomate… like I may not be a “student athlete” anymore but who is stalking my life bro!?!?

I’ve read most of this book in two days. I mean that says a lot for itself. Storyline and characters are great, I really do enjoy this book. I was hoping to try something a bit less spicy and I definitely got that and loved that until it wasn’t anymore… 👀 Still enjoying it tho, just had to take a little break at the end of chapter 27😅

The book is too slow for me... The characters are obviously getting closer but I don’t like that they’re not really acknowledging it. I like when characters have to internally fight with their emotions! Ngl, this book is really close to being put on the DNF list…
