Despite my utter enjoyment for the entire series so far, I'll admit that I'm not the biggest fan of Richeh. Her temper tantrum style "leave me alone, I don't wanna be other people" is rather... annoying :/ I understand tropes and cliches for story, but something about this just bothers me. Perhaps it's how little it actually fits into the story, and how out of left field it came for Vol. 4.

I stumbled upon this manga by complete accident. The synopsis and cover caught my eye- only to find the reputation that tidal waves behind it. I am glad that I chose this as my first read of 2026. It’s fantastic so far 🙂

Having purchased the physical sleeve collectors edition, I now realize just how good of a purchase that was.

I absolutely devoured the last handful of chapters (between page 80 something and 145) Travis, again, has not lost his stride at all. I'd venture to say that thus far within the book, Brigands and Breadknives is the best of the series so far. Though, that's coming from someone who has read the prior 3 entries. It's missing the 'cozy' aspect at this juncture, but I applaud that for his venture into new territories!

An absolutely wonderful return to setting. Three chapters in and Travis has not lost a beat. It's welcoming, warming and feels as comfortable as stepping into Viv and Tandri's shop for a hot cup of coffee and thimblet.

What an outstanding juxtaposition of beauty and macabre.

Painful, poetic and beautiful.

Unfortunately, really struggling with this one. The reputations of each of the 'Legends' books had me beside myself with excitement over how good they might be.. but following Spring Dawning, this just isn't it yet. IF this doesn't pick up by the near-end, I'll be putting it aside to continue on with another book as a refresher.
