DNF’ing for an unhinged reason: I have a phobia of other people chewing and eating and there’s a way too descriptive scene of the FMC eating a lobster dinner (which is the least sexy food to watch someone eat) and the MMC is turned on by her eating like an animal and I just got the ick so bad, I’m done. 🤢

DNF at 50% I love historical fiction, and this time period is fascinating (and horrifying). However, the author did not flesh out any characters enough for me to feel attached to them—it felt like they just existed to witness specific parts of history she wanted to share. Boring. So boring. I can’t do it anymore 😆
