I hate ivan!! May he disappear from the plot !! He’s pushing me into a reading slump !! I’m picking up ma liseuse and be like ughhh him again………

I steal moments to read here and there, I'm fighting for my life trying to find an internship and finishing this semester's final projects again
I go to the emails part, Ivan's really not the exciting part of the book, in fact, i hereby label him a "jerk to forget"
I still love Selin and her brain and writing style

Still great ! I'm starting to get opinions on some characters (Svetlana and Ivan mostly), and to wonder when will the letter exchange begin ! To be honest though, I had completely forgotten there was supposed to be one in the book lol
Also ! Mind you, i just recently noticed this book is in fact semi-autobiographical. Makes me like the author even more

How and where tf does Bruce raise the money to build all his equipment ??

Love Alfred's analysis of this Batman, the scene actually is dear to me
I like the very detailed introduction to Bruce Wayne's character and story
I like the colors too, and the tight extreme close-ups on his eyes and fringe
Joker training w the League of assassins ??? Worrisome big time. I like that he's a filthy rich businessman

The lack of clear storyline reminds me of the catcher in the rye, but less worrisome and more social + intellectually pretentious

I just feel like it’ll be a “right book right time” situation
I’m so enjoying myself reading the mc and the author’s commentaries rn

Reading this on the train helped me to a panick attack, so I’ll just reopen it at home lol
But I really like it so far !

Rainbow’s writing brings back my PTSD memories it’s not even funny (Eleanor my Shayla)
That, and I keep thinking of Édouard in the back of my mind, and how Adelise made him admit he liked a romance story en 4ème in class… that was smthg precious I’ve kept in my heart yeah

Man, Rainbow went a bit strong on them, writing both miserable characters in their family life and also socially stigmatized ones...

Not Rainbow's best writting but it's still nice to read her again

Is my ebook missing parts ? Is the book small??

Bilan très mitigé sur l’écriture ngl, c’est pas mauvais mais on sens que c’est un premier travail ; les voix de l’auteur et du MC s’alternent, l’écriture des émotions est maladroite, l’écriture de souvenirs traumatiques… bref, et les images et traits d’humour sont sympas, mais parfois les métaphores filées alourdissent le propos

C’est publié chez Fayard et parle de vomis dans la première phrase ; ça commence mal 😭
