The hardest part of this book so far is just my ability to use my creativity to fully put a scene in my head of how Brandon Sanderson writes his books. He describes just enough to know what is going on but allows for interpretation for such things as scenery and fashion.

The combat involving Allomancy is so simple yet complex but man is it fun to imagine and read about!

I’m having a hard time finding a voice in my head for Clubs and now I’m too tired to continue but we learned that Copper is for Soothers! That’s cool!

Kelsier is an absolute madman and I love it. His principles and beliefs that tie into his decision making make you admire his confidence in his propositions and the team he assembled to complete these propositions with seems like a grand heist adventure is about to get underway!

I started to fall asleep whilst reading… all I can remember is Kelsier having some form of Conqueror’s Haki haha.

This Kelsier character is really intriguing to learn more about. His charisma is incredible and his confidence in himself is something to admire. These Ministry gents seem almost like urban monks in a way, the Steel Inquisitors seem proper dangerous!

We now get introduced to Vin and her gang of skaa ruffians. Little is known about her just yet but seeing her use this new ability of “Luck” and seeing how perceptive she was is cool to see!

Just from the Prologue and the vague lore that we are given about The Final Empire, Sanderson is setting me up for a wonderful adventure in the ash covered land!

It’s so interesting to imagine woodland creatures having battle tactics and utilizing guerilla warfare in a book.

Book 2 completed, bring on Book 3, The Warrior!

The deception and thievery of the woodland creatures always seems to bring about some form of death and destruction. Even peace cannot save face with trouble around.

The sword of Martin the Warrior has been located and Jess Squirrel has started her harrowing climb!

Martin the Warrior sure does love his riddles huh? Also, counterspy foxes are making this little war quite fun to bear witness to!

Mice 1, Rats 0. The siege of the rats was bested by the cunning of young and old as they deserted back home to lick their wounds. Matthias is slowly becoming the mouse of prophecy and is also somehow Martin? We’ll find out more the next time we read!

Learning how all the woodland creatures live with each other and how they each express themselves is fascinating to say the least.

Abbot Mortimer has aura. What a jolly old chap.

Mice vs Rats, the selfless vs the selfish, who will prevail?

I am loving how quaint and cute Brian Jaques has made these woodland creatures as I imagine them all having a meeting, chittering and chattering to one another. Really brings into perspective how unique of an idea this book is! (Or at least unique by being one of the firsts)

Cluny the Scourge has come to play! For now he is at bay but who knows for how long that will stay!

After finishing most of the Netflix series for The Witcher with Bryanna, I figured we would give reading it a shot! I’m currently reading it to her as she falls asleep as a way of bonding with her. So far all I have done is soothe her to sleep haha but some progress is better than no progress!

As I embark on this reading adventure on the planet of Mars, I learn of a young man named Darrow and how his humble beginnings have turned into an end goal of breaking an empire. So far, the world building is slowly seeping into the story as Darrow travels far from home and up onto the surface of Mars.
