A gentle start, now completely “unputdownable”.

The first few chapters had me taking notes and reflecting and light bulb moments… and about half way through, I get lost. This book is possibly for those with a background in Buddhism, some pre-existing knowledge of maras, dharmas, and so on. But I’d keep it to reread the earlier parts as they made a huge difference to how I experience my current situation.

Beautiful and so moving, loving it so far. If you like art history and Italy, you’ll love it.

This is a warm hug of a book, sunshine warm through a window, the perfect cup of tea made by someone else, the smell of woodsmoke in the Autumn, a song that beams you back to a past memory … I’ll pick this up every time I need a nudge to remember my own small joys.
