Alright, I tried this book before but after committing to the first chapter, I’m definitely hooked now.

I feel like I’m starting to relate to this book more, as it is mirroring some discussions I’ve had with my sister with the importance of trying to involve everyone in your hard work ethic

I don’t completely buy into this stuff but the ideas have been surprisingly helpful for setting up my research notebooks for grad school

I only understand maybe 5% of this so far but I do think it’s useful in my reading journey

Chapter 2: statisticians discover evolutionary biology

Two systems of thinking is an interesting thing to think about. As I think about how I feel about the book so far, my guess would be that I am using system 1 (?) to innately perceive my reactions to the text. It also makes sense that perhaps knowledge moves from system 2 to system 1 with practice (chess moves, for example).
