Good beach read with a nice premise but honestly… the characters are very 2-dimensional. Literally no one has a bad reaction to anything ever, it’s all just “and I love you so much” to everything that happens. It’s driving me crazy lol

I’m torn on if I’m going to finish this book or not. I’ve heard so many people talking about it that I’m trying to push through.

I knew it was satirical but I’m struggling and reviews (no spoilers) indicate not only does Natalie not get better, but that the themes and real questions she poses as a character don’t get answered. I’ll probably read a bit more before vacation and then decide.

Absolutely love this book so far. The author makes medical speak accessible, even when it’s 7am and my brain is half asleep. His transition from neurosurgeon to cancer patient is both inspiring and devastating. Up until his diagnosis, death is something he struggles with on a theoretical level - something that plagues others. I’m at the point where it becomes real for him and can’t wait to see his journey.
