I don’t know exactly where I am in this book as I am reading my custom binds but I am I. Issue 19. With that said, these books are amazing MG had his finger on the pulse of 80’s action! Every issue feels like a mini 007 movie or episode of Knight Rider! So engaging and easy to read! Issue 18 had a twist that actually had me jump out of my seat and I usually never react to media that way! I can’t wait for more!

I am reading my own custom bind, but this covers Omni #1. Between work and running the kids around to sports, I’ve been horrible about updating, but that should not be a reflection of how much I am enjoying JSF by MG! This reads so easily and I am always captivated by the plot and art. Mr. Grell at his best- and every issue is 48 pages. How’d he do it?? I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! Read this!

I am so excited to finish this book- I mean that in a good way. I fell off recording my thoughts as I went along, but that is not of my feelings of this book. It was great-The only thing not making it 5 Stars is there was no emotional gut punches or goosebumps. Otherwise, this is a strong 4 - I love the Soap Opera feel with the supporting cast and the continuing storylines. I was always eager to read the next issue!

I read the NML issues of this tpb and they were entertaining but offered little insight into and had little to do with HQ. These issues read more like the Joker - No Mans Land trade. I will say, the ending of that storyline is brutal. I’m about 100 pgs. from the HQ series starting and hoping that this is where Harley will really start to stand out.

I am officially into the triangle issues and this book continues to please! Man of Steel by Simonson started off a run of double issues with all creative staffs are involved- The Krytoponian Man / Eradicator storyline. I know I am repeating myself but this is so fun. These books just seem like one long story- today’s crossovers are so disjointed and choppy and these creators did it every month for years with grace!

I made it through the Red Glass storyline. At first I thought it was a one off fill in issue, but Hudnall and Hannigan somehow did 3 straight months to tell an interesting and well drawn story. Again, this book’s storylines often start slow but grow on me until I am completely wrapped up in them. The ending felt a little Star Treky but still overall another good read. The Triangle Years are so much fun!

I’m making good progress through this Omni and it consistently delivers. I made it through the Big Reveal, which was done nicely and the Time and Time Again storyline. TTA really grew on me. At first I thought the Linear Man I was boring, but as Superman was sent through time the stories kept getting better! Ordway’s issue in Camelot was a capper to multiple fun and interesting issues. Great stuff!

Just finished AoS 475 and although it was another one off story, Jurgens was back to telling a fun tale with some fun action and good to great Superman panels. Sleeze returns but no porn this time and Jimmy finally starts wearing his signal watch again. I’m. It sure if I am completely sold on Thibert inking DJ, but I do like that cover! Up next, the anticipated Action 662 with the big reveal!

Superman 52- Another rough one shot. This one is by Ordway is heavy handed preachy about pollution. Did all the individual titles decided to do a few months on their own after the Crisis of the Crimson Kryptonite ? These titles work best together to tell a longer more fleshed out story - not a bunch of one shot public service announcements. This Omni had some great momentum until these single story issues.

Finished AoS 474, which seemed like an afterschool special on drinking and driving. How long has this man been in a coma and why haven’t we heard of him before? Lot DJ’s best work. Then read Action 661 with Plastic Man. At first I was not into this, but as I read the issue it grew on me. A fun read for a one shot. I liked BM’s PM panels. He must be fun to draw. I was confused by the final page and TB ?

Just finished this up on vacation. This takes the smallest dip in reviews for me, but that is only bc of the android plot did not 100% engage me. I really enjoyed seeing the Robin-Supergirl Date from He’ll and the Metamorpho origin retelling was well done. As I binge this while traveling, I am pumped for the next book and the return to Kingdom Come. Mr. Waid doing some of his best work!

WF Vol. 2 picks up right where Vol. 1 left off! The Search for Robin wound up rather quick, but was satisfying nonetheless. At first, I thought the whole David storyline was a bit on the nose, but there was a spoiler I was not expecting! One good thing about reading these at a later date is that I either missed the spoilers or I heard them and just forgot.

I read this on the plane in one sitting- but not in a good way. I just wanted to get this done and move on. It is a mishmash of crossover tie ins. Campbell and Williamson have a few good moments with Zantana, but from there it is all over the place. I am sorry for anyone just trying to read Superman and getting confused with this one.

I can’t say anymore than I did during Vol. 1. This is great in all ways. This is not only a great Superman - Batman book, but a great JL book! I kind of wish this was in continuity, but I think that would confine Waid. He is loving this playground so let home play however he wants! I love Mora’s current take on classic hero’s.

Another book living up to its hype! Mora & Waid are hitting on all cylinders with this book so far. Waid makes a fun quick read. Despite it being easy to read, he still finds time for great characterization and plots that leave nuggets for future stories. Mora is out of his mind with details and panel layout! I think DM draws SM and Bats perfect- just the way I want them. I cannot wait for more!

Just read RC Vol. 1 in one sitting! Wow, this is fun! The writing is great and GF is laying a lot of nuggets for later. BH is killing it and not rushing anything. Every panel is detailed with full backgrounds. You can tell he is enjoying this run! Now I have to see if I am going to pick this up physically. It’s not in my budget but it’s that good.

Finished this the other night. I really enjoyed it. The Bat Gamily dynamics are great. This should just be the Bat family book and keep Batman solo. I like the issue giving DICK’s sister’s origin. I like here as a new character, although I have to learn her name! Regardless, a great run so far and I cannot wait to tear into vol. 2

Wow! So far this book lives up to the hype! It reads so easy and the art is fantastic. The art finds new ways to show movement and the panel layouts are so unique. I am super interested by Zipatone currently, so I wonder about all its use in the book. Is it digital? It must be. 3 issues in and I am super excited by the cliffhanger.

Another two issues down. The GL issue was so, so. I do not remember much about it or the plot which is never a good sign. I did really like the Action 660. The grim reaper cover is great. Everything in the issue is great, from the wedding plans, Perry and fireman action sequence. Is Luther really dead? We never found the body! Why is SM sitting around in his tights watching tv?

Almost done with the Krimson K story and I am enjoying as always. The Stern Action issue is a bit wordy, but it picked up steam in in the middle of Superman 50 and Supes just got hi powers back- and I knew that was going to happen eventually and I was still psyched when it happened. I wish I didn’t have to stop at this point! Aw well- always leave them wanting more!

I’m really just reading these issues as part of a custom bind I made. Wow- PD always delivers. I read issues 12-13 in what seemed like 15 minutes. PD always reads easy - his writing and dialog seem so natural and just flows. He also adds bits of humor that hit at the right time and doesn’t overwhelm the plot. The Dolphin vs. Mets fight is the highlight of these issues! M England - way to go!

I’m going to switch bt older and current DCFinest so I do not get too bogged down by Golden and Silver age writing. The first book here was Batman Adventures 12. A fun and entertaining read. Harley makes an appearance although it’s really not that special other than the fact that it is her 1st. Mad love is up next and I’ve never read that!

The Krisis of the Krimson Kryptonite continues. Advent. 472 and Starman read very smooth. Stern writing Starman made for a seamless crossover. Although I always find Stern a little wordy. The Jurgens /Thibert art in Ad. Started a little uneven, but was full of great panels and Superman shots by the end. I usually dislike Mxyzptlk stories but I am enjoying this one- maybe bc he really isn’t in it much as of yet.
