Got through a good chunk of this book today. Might finish tonight. Definitely some interesting moments highlighted on BTS from Dance Moms

It’s better than the Halloween book, but not by much

Halfway through the book and it’s taking everything in me to not DNF. It’s really unfortunate, I was really expecting to like this book but it’s a Walmart version of Lights Out. The MMC is a level 10 simp for the FMC but yet also a “dangerous” guy. His POV feels like a woman trying to write for a male; doesn’t feel authentic. Going to try to finish but this is getting hard to do

(Audio)Reading this as if it every chapter was a podcast was the best decision. Really enjoying this book. Can’t believe there’s only 4 chapters (episodes) left!

Today’s reading is Chapter 1: “Subconscious Behaviors that are Keeping You from Having The Live You Want”. My takeaway is 1) lean into the fear of the unknown and 2) learn to live more in the moment.

My action item for tomorrow from this chapter is to review the goals I’ve made for myself and for any goals that I’ve “failed”, reprogram my brain to acknowledge that isn’t true.

The goal is to read 1-2 essays per day to actually take time to read and reflect on them

Has a slow start but I already had my first “kicking my feet up in the air and giggle” moment so I’m enjoying it so far

Okay so the MMC is nothing like Josh from Lights Out. I’m torn between loving his character and being annoyed by him. But this is definitely an interesting read and I’m not a huge dark romance reader. Strong 4 stars. Might finish this tonight
