This is my third time trying to get into this book and I think I finally can dedicate my time to it. There was something about the way it was written that turned me off, but now I can find it more manageable. I still think the writing is horrifically stiff and does the interesting world a major injustice. The themes of autonomy and humanity are incredibly interesting and I look forward to see how they’re done.

Incredibly solid and I love it so much. The pacing is quite questionable for a novel of this size, but knowing how it was published makes sense. The plot goes in interesting directions and the tension builds slowly and enjoyably.
