What is Adrian up to…? I seriously hope the Hunter doesn’t end up killing Opa. I also love the theme of this book being that you can choose either life or death and vampires are the in between and are sort of like the worst of our fallen nature. Sister Allison Regina is the best!

The Shadow is such an interesting character and would have a great salvation story if he would just LISTEN TO CHRISTOPHER. I need a whole book from Adrian’s POV and any lore we didn’t get just from this trilogy. The Shadow might be my favorite character at this point. He’s so compelling and he doesn’t have the same powers as all the other vampires do. Can’t wait to see how his story ends!

I only read a little bit this time, gang. Getting a little busy now that the summer’s officially over 😢. Anyway, another interesting flashback with the hunter. He compulsed the innocent doctor into helping Opa. Adrian was a little skittish about it. The kid’s smarter than he may seem. That’s why I love his character so much. He’s such an underdog.

Now we all say “I love Adrian” in unison. I already loved Adrian’s character since the Light They Left. The suspense is killing me. How did this cinnamon roll become a feared vampire? NOBODY KNOWS. That flashback is going to be insane. I also enjoyed the flashback where Josef told Rainer that he and his friends had so spend a night in the woods. Adrian is thinking outside the box with Rainer’s death. Hunter?

Okay, so the Wolf is injured. That’s my theory. If there ever is a scene where Christopher trades his humanity for Adrian’s, that would be sick! Elizabeth and Christopher are the cutest. I don’t think I’ve ever supported a ship more! We need entire prequel books on each vampire’s backstory. This series is basically Twilight if it was Catholic.

Guys, Opa’s awesome! I loved the scene where he was teasing Josef about Klara. I’m a historical fiction nerd, so obviously I’m interested to see what happens with the law restricting priests to preach about anything that disturbs the public peace. This is sounding like a classic Saint story for Amalia. Every single flashback with the Wolf is still very vivid and transportive.

The Wolf flashback I thought was very interesting. Sister Allison’s works are so vivid it’s like you’re experiencing the chain of events with the characters, like you’re really a part of the story. I’m annoyed with the characters, I’m scared with them, I laugh with them, and cry with them. I’m very curious to find out how Christopher was really turned into a vampire, and of it was Adrian or the Wolf!

I just read the chapter where Josef and Amalia had the argument in the convent. I’m always impressed by how Sister Allison makes Amalia so compelling. It felt like I was in her shoes and feeling what she was feeling and entering into her mindset. Christopher truly had a conversion after his miraculous healing. Amalia is probably one of my favorite characters in the franchise.

I enjoyed the prologue and was interested to see how it focused solely on Sister Hildegard. How God’s will and plans are unique and play out in a different way for each one of us is so true and it is one of the things that excites me the most about my relationship with Jesus. There’s a lot of talk of surrender already. This is going to be good!

Apollo and Daphne are currently at Minos’ banquet. I would say Theseus is one of my favorite characters, although I do remember him being killed off. 😢 The rizz is rizzing.

Hermes is my character as always! I enjoyed how him and Daphne got along shockingly well and we’re making fun of Apollo (Lester Popudopulous lol) The chapter where they were running from the pipe music was very interesting, and I’m curious to know how Hermes and Apollo know Daphne’s mother, specifically Hermes. Overall, this is a great book and it’s very fast paced and straightforward.

Just met Lyta on the ship to Crete. The scene where Daphne almost killed Apollo because of the hallucination was very interesting. The Naiades are cool, Lykou is eating it up and leaving no crumbs, and the flashback with Pyrrhus’ sword lesson was really sweet. This book would make an awesome TV show low-key! And I LOVE APOLLO AND DAPHNE THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!

I love the bantering between Daphne and Apollo it makes me laugh every time. The flashback and Prometheus’ visions were very interesting, especially the one where Apollo names Daphne’s betrayal as he steps out of the River Styx and the crow attacks him. It’s all coming back to me now! I’m hyped for more reading and Hermes!!

I’m really enjoying this so far! This whole series was a DNF until now and I forgot how action packed and fast paced it was! I love Pyrrhus’ humorous personality and Daphne’s strong wit and determination. I’m excited for a fresh take on this universe!
