Holy shit? The high king just fully raped Matthew. Right now this book is my least favorite of the three. Just nothing is going right for Matthew like at all. No hope whatsoever. His depression has a physical manifestation. Tarrick suddenly wants to seem like he cares? But still won’t apologize? Fuck you. Fuck everybody actually. I’m mad at everyone!

Bruhhh. The two year time jump? We just got started and everything is already off to a terrible start. I keep forgetting how difficult it is to start one of these books. Jovis and the command shard? I can’t do this I already want to dnf

Ohhh Matthew you better stop rn with all this missing Tarrick stuff. He's turning down sleeping with Devak because he still misses Tarrick! And he called Tarrick! Who then tried to manipulate Matthew via fake feelings again! Girl you gotta stand up. Also, I hate that Matthew turned Sam. That's just another thing that will be used against him. Mighty convenient Devak is cursed.

This book is lowkey stupid as fuck and I love it. Like it’s legit just a fanfiction this is great.

Harper…when I catch you Harper…like okayyy this isn’t my first rodeo I’ve had to deal with characters that have commitment issues, but it never fails to frustrate me (the call is coming from inside the house btw). Poor baby Kian. I knew he was gonna crash at some point. But damn getting into a crash and then your man STILL don’t want you? Damn! Double homicide.

I’m ngl I didn’t have high hopes going into this book but it’s honestly pretty good? Like nothing crazy or different from any other queer sports book, but not bad so far. I forgot how slow slowburn can actually be 💀 I’ve gotten so spoiled with non slow burn books and fics. They kissed for the first time like 30% into the book, and now 60% they’re sleeping together…wish we got more of that on page tbh.

Both of these characters are such assholes in their own ways for their own reasons I kind of love it. I also realize that this will probably get old fast as the book goes on.
