I am not sure what has gotten into me. I cannot track what Marx is saying at all. I will shelve this for later and read it from the beginning, because whatever point Chapter III is making is going right over my head. This feels more dense than Kapital.

Ch. 2: Exchange

A very short, light chapter compared to Ch. 1: about a quarter of the length. Marx quoting Revelation was hilarious. The audiobook guy kept replacing "himself, mankind" with gender neutral terms, which I appreciate, although by the end he was really stretching it and I kept cracking up

Streets are saying Ch. 3 is twice the length of Ch. 1... Luckily, it's supposed to get a lot simpler afterwards ;)

Let us discuss this issue. In order to understand, we must first analyze the principles of A, B, & C (see Engels, pg 100)

We will begin with A. In order to evaluate A, as Lenin always said, we must first interpret X, Y, and Z (see Imperialism, pg 200)

We will begin with X. In order to demonstrate X, we must first understand it as three simple points: 1, 2, & 3

Point 1 can be broken down into three basic facts...

Chapter One (1) completed. It took about 10 hours of reading, re-reading, translating, and deciphering. This amount of concrete labor has got to be worth at least two coats.
