The last time I read this book I was 13 and I hated it. I'm sure it'll be so much better this time

Crusoe does nothing but complain about how lonely he is for 25 years then finds another person and immediately makes the man his slave. Are you serious.

Update: he is still on the island.

I know this was the first English novel literally ever written but how'd they turn "guy survives insane shipwreck and must learn to live on a deserted island" into something this boring

so far my overarching conclusion is that if Americans knew how to do math we wouldn't be in this mess
