So far it’s not great

Laatste boek in m’n nostalgie tripje van dit weekend, let’s goooo

Sometimes you gotta do a little nostalgia rereading. This book was a gift for my 16th birthday. Sometimes I love rereading relics from my past (and as an added bonus, absolutely no cyclists in this book!!)

Er zijn echt heel weinig dingen die me minder boeien (of meer irriteren) dan wielren-enthousiastelingen T.T

Sometimes you just need to read a little crip kinship, some disability justice to soothe and feed the anger and pain of existing in and fighting for your disabled self.

I made it about 20 pages without crying, go me.

The writing is incredibly annoying. I’m really interested in this subject but constantly tempted to DNF because it’s so badly written. It’s like reading one of those ‘seconds from disaster’ episodes, in that it’s superficial and overly dramatised and every little detail is unnecessarily drawn out forever.

This took a while to get into (the first ~20% is a lot of exposure) but now I am INVESTED O M G I wish I could read even faster because I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT AAAAAA

Remembered project Gutenberg. Always wanted to read this, not sure if I’ll finish it any time soon (or indeed, in one go). Currently page 37/2151 (of ereader pages), so it’ll be a while in any case

It’s absolute drivel, complete and utter shoddily written Mary Sue fanfic type shit… I cannot stop reading lmao

The premise is interesting but this author has about as much clue about injuries/survival as a 12 year old and that’s taking me out of it.

I mean, after finishing some alien smut, I might as well follow it up with other mildly strange books on my TBR right?

Omg Jacob is the cutest mmc I’ve read in a looooong time. This book is so cute and cheesy and funny and I am into ittttt

It’s… different from what I usually read and I knew this was going to be a wild ride but so far I’m not mad at it I think?

I was a bit hesitant to begin reading this after reading Yumi and the nightmare painter but so far I’m into it. The lack of that annoying narrator and focus on a good story makes all the difference so far.

In a bit of a reading slump lately, I’ve started about six different books and never made it past page 20, just failed to capture my attention. This one has been very interesting so far.

I don’t like football, I don’t like the guy (but that’s kind of the point maybe)? and I think the potential relationship is totally problematic (huge age gap and power imbalance), I also think the FMC is kind of annoying with her ‘I’ll just never talk to anyone and be needlessly dramatic and shoulder all my burdens alone’, so we’re not off to a great start lol.

Made a storygraph account (less Amazon is more better) so add me there if you want. https://app.thestorygraph.com/profile...

(For a while I’ll keep up with both apps maybe idk yet).

Reading this for bookclub. The premise is interesting enough and the writing is pretty good but sometimes it’s a little too YA for me personally. Still, pretty good so far.

On my way to (re)read some classics, came across the 150th anniversary annotated edition in the library and couldn’t resist.

All my homies want to set fire to Neil. Screaminggggg
