I love this series! Yes, they’re a little more serious than your average historical romance, but I really enjoy that. She always skirts the sexist tropes well, and somehow the characters feel different from each other book to book. Most historical romance heroes and heroines blend together, but the distinctness of these characters really shines and is incredibly refreshing.
