A DNF. I don’t care for the author’s repeated descriptions of one character’s excessive weight.

4.5. Realistic, sympathetic characters. Excellent plot but dark. (Skimmed some of the middle.)

Powerful story of woman traveling on the Overland Trail. Excellent narrator. Skimmed the middle.

Struggling to concentrate on audio. Need to finish this in print.

Don’t care for books that start with descriptions of drug use—especially in this pandemic season.

Skimmed much of this. Excellent writing, and interesting story behind the book and movie, Wizard of Oz.

Enjoyed the characters and plot, but struggled with the paranormal aspect. Have to be in the mood to suspend my disbelief, I guess.

Enjoy this series. Got this book through Tim’s Audible account (I think.)

I love the premise of a classical musician in the Irish countryside. The story takes a paranormal twist, as she meets the ghost of her home’s former owner. Listened to the book through Hoopla. Need to finish.

I really enjoyed this account: one introvert’s account of taking risks to meet people, have deeper conversations and “say yes.” The author talked to experts, attended a workshop, and applied the principles in public, in Britain. I listened to this book via my library’s Hoopla service.
